Circadian Blueprint ("the app", "we", "us") is a sunrise-based alarm, light-exposure tracker, and habit app. We care about your privacy and collect as little data as possible. This policy explains what the app accesses, why, and what (if anything) leaves your device.
With your permission, the app uses your device location to calculate accurate sunrise and sunset times for your area. These calculations happen on your device — your coordinates are used locally and are not transmitted to our servers. Your most recent location is cached on your device so the app keeps working offline.
With your permission, the app uses the camera only to measure the ambient brightness (light level) around you during a Light Session, in order to score your light exposure. The app reads brightness values only. No photos or video are captured, saved, viewed, or transmitted.
The app schedules local notifications on your device for your sunrise alarms and your sunset blue-light reminder. These are generated on your device. We do not operate a push-notification server and do not send you remote messages.
If — and only if — you choose to create or join a leaderboard group, the app creates an anonymous account for you through our backend provider, Supabase, and stores the following:
This information is visible to other members of the groups you join, so they can see the shared leaderboard. It is stored on Supabase's servers on our behalf. If you never join or create a group, none of this data is created or uploaded.
We do not sell or rent your data. We do not share your information with third parties for advertising. Leaderboard data is shared only with members of the groups you choose to join. Our backend is operated by Supabase, which processes this data on our behalf as our service provider.
Data stored locally on your device is removed when you delete the app.
For leaderboard data: you can leave any group at any time from within the app, which removes you from that group's leaderboard. To permanently delete your anonymous leaderboard account and all associated data (handle, group memberships, and scores), contact us at the email below and we will delete it.
Circadian is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date above.
